Tally Sign in Salesforce build, send and sign from the record

Install the package and Tally Sign becomes part of Salesforce. Build templates for any object from the Tally Sign tab, send from the record, answer the customer on the same page, and get the signed copy, the field updates and the next step back without switching tabs.

Build templates in Salesforce for any object, from the Tally Sign tab

Open the Tally Sign tab, choose New template and pick the object it's sent from: a quote, an opportunity or one of your own. Describe it and the assistant designs the whole page around the record, or build it yourself with that object's fields: follow lookups as far as you need, choose who signs, and preview it with a real record before anyone uses it.

Ask for a bold order form. It designs the page around the quote's lines, filled from a real quote.

What you're seeing: A new Order Form template for quotes is created from the Tally Sign app in Salesforce. The rep asks the assistant for a bold order form that makes the customer want to sign. It designs the page in the Bold look around the quote's lines: a cover, the deal in one line, key details, a six-week rollout and plain-English terms. A preview fills it from a real quote, top to bottom.

Every object in your org

Quotes, opportunities, orders, contracts, accounts, cases and custom objects. The list is whatever your org has.

Through any lookup

Service Agreement › Account › Owner › Full Name. Walk from the record to anything it points to and drag the field in.

Signers from the record

A contact lookup, a contact role, a related contact on the account, the owner, or someone the rep picks when sending.

Send from the record and see it come back signed

Reps click Send with Tally Sign on the record. The document is already filled in and the signers are already chosen. They can fix a sentence before it goes out, answer the customer's questions and accept their redlines from the same page, and watch the record update the moment everyone has signed.

Signers come from the quote. Signing marks it Accepted and creates the order.

What you're seeing: A Salesforce quote with the Tally Sign package. The rep clicks Send with Tally Sign, checks the filled order form and its quote lines, adds a note and sends. The customer signs, the quote moves to Accepted, an order appears and the rep gets a bell notification.

Salesforce hears back without anyone copying it over

Each template decides what happens to its record when the document is sent, signed or declined. Nothing is pasted in by hand, and every step is logged on the envelope, including Salesforce's own message if one fails.

  1. 1

    Sent: the record's status moves

Any field on the record, or on a record it looks up. Out for Signature, Presented, whatever your process calls it.

  2. 2

    Signed: fields are updated

Status, the signed date, a link to the document, or any value you choose.

  3. 3

The signed PDF goes into Files

With its certificate: the version that was signed, every signer, the time and IP.

  4. 4

Revenue Cloud: order, assets and contract

On quotes, the standard quote-to-cash actions run in order. Turn off any you do by hand.

  5. 5

    Declined: the reason comes back

On the envelope, and in a field on the record if you like. The rep is notified.

  6. 6

Every envelope is a Salesforce record

With its recipients and activity, ready for reports, list views and dashboards.

Send on its own as a Flow in your org

Write a rule in one sentence: when a quote is approved, send the order form. Tally Sign deploys it to Salesforce as a record-triggered Flow, so it fires however the record changed, and logs every run. Start it in test mode to see what it would have sent.

app.tallysign.com/automations
What you're seeing: The automations library. The rep turns on “Mark the quote Accepted when it's signed”, then creates a rule that sends the Order Form when a quote's Status becomes Approved. Switching it on deploys a Flow to Salesforce, and the first run appears in the log.

Real Flows

Rules are deployed as record-triggered Flows your admins can see in Setup, not a sync that polls from outside.

Flow and Agentforce actions

Send for signature, get status, remind, void or run a rule from Flow Builder, or hand them to an agent.

Safe by default

It won't send a second copy while one is out. If a signer is missing, it saves a draft and tells the record's owner.

Part of Salesforce not a window next to it

The Tally Sign package is a managed package from Tally. It puts each part where your team already works, and reports on envelopes like any other Salesforce data.

Seats are Salesforce users

Each seat is linked to one Salesforce user. One pool covers Tally Sign on the web and in Salesforce.

Looking is free

Anyone can see status, open signed documents and leave internal notes on the record without a seat.

It checks access first

Before Tally Sign shows or sends anything from a record, Salesforce confirms the person can open that record.

Questions

Which Salesforce editions does it work with?

Enterprise, Unlimited, Performance and Developer Edition. Professional, Essentials, Starter and Group Edition don't run a package's Apex or allow API access, so they aren't supported.

Where are templates built, in Salesforce or in Tally Sign?

Either. The Tally Sign tab in Salesforce opens the same editor as the web app, full screen, with the chosen object's fields. A template made in one is there in the other.

Can we try it in a sandbox first?

Yes. Connect a sandbox and production at the same time. Each sends and syncs on its own, and by default a sandbox sends signing emails for people outside your company to the sender instead.

Do we need Revenue Cloud or CPQ?

No. Standard quotes, opportunities and any other object work on their own. Revenue Cloud's quote lines and quote-to-cash steps switch on when your org has it, and CPQ quotes work too.

What does a rep need to send?

A Tally Sign seat linked to their Salesforce user. Your admin assigns seats, or turns on automatic seats. People who only look at status and signed documents don't need one.

Can we use Tally Sign without Salesforce?

Yes. Tally Sign works on its own for $20 a user, and you can connect Salesforce later. The Salesforce plan is $200 a month for every five users, with no limit on documents.

Pricing

$200

a month for every five users, with Salesforce

$20

a user a month, without a CRM

That is the whole price list. Every feature is on both plans, single sign-on included, nothing is metered, and both start with 7 days free. The Salesforce plan adds the Salesforce integration, which works seamlessly with Revenue Cloud.

No limit on

  • Documents and envelopesNo limit
  • TemplatesNo limit
  • SignersNo limit
  • AutomationsNo limit

Customers never take a seat. In Salesforce, people who only look at status, signed documents and internal notes don't either.
