# Proposals and SOWs from the deal — signed by the people on it

> Send proposals, SOWs, NDAs and agreements from a Salesforce opportunity. Products fill the pricing table, contact roles sign, and it can close the deal.

With Tally Sign, reps send an NDA, proposal, statement of work or agreement from the opportunity. Its products fill the pricing table, its contact roles decide who signs, and once it's signed the opportunity can move to Closed Won on its own.

Early in the deal

Mutual NDA

Often sent automatically when the opportunity reaches Qualification.

After discovery

Proposal

The opportunity's products, priced, with your scope and terms.

Before kickoff

Statement of Work

Scope, investment, payment schedule and project dates.

To close

Agreement

Master agreements, renewals and amendments, signed by both sides.

Each one is a template linked to Opportunity, sent with Send with Tally Sign on the opportunity page.

## Contact roles decide who signs — with a fallback for every role

This is a Statement of Work linked to Opportunity. The client is the opportunity's Decision Maker, then its primary contact, then whoever the rep picks. Preview it with a real opportunity and the products, dates and signers fill in.

What you're seeing: A Statement of Work template linked to Opportunity. The client signer is the Decision Maker contact role, then the primary contact, then whoever the rep picks, and after signing the stage becomes Closed Won. A preview with a real opportunity fills the cover, the services table and the signatures.

### Any contact role

Decision Maker, Economic Buyer or the roles your team uses, with the primary contact as a fallback.

### Opportunity products

Product, description, quantity, sales price, discount and total. Drag any other product field onto the table as a column.

### Your side too

The opportunity's owner, the owner's manager, whoever sends it, or a specific person.

## Signed to Closed Won — without updating the deal by hand

Each template says what changes on the opportunity when it's sent, signed or declined. Set any field to a fixed value, the date it was signed, a link to the document or the reason it was declined.

If the customer declines, the Statement of Work above puts their reason in the opportunity's Next Step and tells the rep.

1. 1 The stage moves to Closed Won Or any stage you choose. Sending can move it too, for example to Negotiation/Review.
2. 2 The signed PDF is saved to the opportunity With its certificate of completion, in the opportunity's Files.
3. 3 Other fields are filled in For example a Signed SOW Date from the date it was signed.
4. 4 The rep is notified in Salesforce A bell notification with a link to the opportunity.
5. 5 Every step is logged on the envelope An Envelope record on the opportunity keeps the status, the signers and what ran.

## Questions and redlines — answered from the opportunity

Customers ask and suggest changes on the signing page. Reps see a count on the opportunity's Tally Sign tab and answer there, without opening another app.

Your customer can

- Ask a question about any part of the document
- Suggest an edit to the wording
- Request a change to a line in the pricing table
- Sign on a phone, with no account

Your rep can, from the opportunity

- Reply, or leave a note only your team sees
- Accept, reject or counter a suggested edit
- Resolve a change request with a note
- Remind signers, copy a signing link or void

Accepting an edit publishes a new version of the document, and anyone who already signed is asked to sign again. Every question, reply and decision is kept with the envelope.

## Send the NDA at Qualification — and draft the SOW at Proposal

Write a rule for the opportunity stage. Tally Sign deploys it to your org as a record-triggered Flow, so it runs however the stage changes. It can send right away, or create a draft for the owner to check.

What you're seeing: A rule for opportunities: when the Stage becomes Proposal/Price Quote, create a Statement of Work draft for the owner. Switching it on deploys a Flow to Salesforce. In test mode the log shows what it would have done, and nothing is sent.

## Questions

### Where do reps send from?

The Send with Tally Sign action on the opportunity page, or the Tally Sign tab on the record. Templates linked to Opportunity are listed first, and each recipient shows where it came from.

### What if nobody on the opportunity has that role?

The next rule is tried. If none finds a name and email, the rep picks the signer when sending. An automation creates a draft instead of sending, so nothing goes to the wrong person.

### Can one template work on quotes and opportunities?

A template is linked to one object. Duplicate it and link the copy to the other object; fields you dragged in from the Account work on both.

### Do the values change if the opportunity changes later?

No. Values are copied into the document when it's created, so the signed PDF keeps the numbers the customer saw. Drafts can be refreshed from the record before sending.

### We quote from Salesforce Quotes or Revenue Cloud. Does that work too?

Yes. Send the order form from the quote instead, with its quote lines. See Revenue Cloud Advanced for how signed quotes become orders.
